CANADIAN MASSED PIPES AND DRUMS JUBILEE TOUR SCOTLAND 2012
I am contacting you to bring you up to date regarding the tour in 2012. You have probably received emails, correspondence or been told that the Canadian Massed Pipes and Drums were not planning a tour in 2012. This is not true and you have received wrong information and been misled. “THE TOUR IS ON” Correspondence is on file, going back to last year and continuing into this year whereby it was clearly stated to certain individuals that a tour would take place. It was felt that the Hawaii Tour should be confirmed first, before starting to announce Scotland 2012. The reason to cancel was recently stated and posted on the Canadian Massed Pipes and Drums website. Since the cancellation announcement, many that had registered for Hawaii have responded and announced their intention to go to Scotland in 2012, continuing their association with the Canadian Massed Pipes and Drums. Many individuals and bands that had previously not taken part in any tour are anxiously looking forward to the event. The tour will see a rewarding and enjoyable time for all. The invitation to take part in the Braemar Gathering, will present a memorable occasion and of course no tour would be complete without a Pre-Show Performance at the Edinburgh Tattoo. We will be working with a new Travel and Tour Company and can assure you that every travel detail will be carefully looked at, ensuring the best cost efficient packages are obtained. We look forward to having you with us on the 8th Tour to Scotland. Let us here in Canada, “REMAIN UNITED” and continue the Massed Pipes and Drums under the “CANADIAN BANNER” for 2012. * A copy of the Registration Form for “JUBILEE TOUR SCOTLAND 2012” is now listed on the website. This is strictly a form, registering your interest in being with “THE CANADIAN MASSED PIPES and DRUMS in 2012. There is no financial commitment required until the first deposit in 2011.

BRAEMAR GATHERING 2012
The Canadian Massed Pipes and Drums have received an invitation to take part in the Gathering. In the past, the Braemar Gathering has always been a highlight of a tour, we know that in 2012, the Diamond Jubilee Year of Her Majesty the Queen, the Gathering will be a special year and we are honoured to have been invited.
2012 Jubilee Year will see some special events taking place in Scotland and we are awaiting official invitations to take part in some of those events. New venues, towns and cities are also being considered. During the tour, as in 2009 you will have days off whereby you will be able to travel, visit relatives and take part in arranged tours to parts of Scotland.
Since some of the above announcements, we have received a great response from many Bands and individuals, some of whom had planned for Hawaii but are now excited about being part of JUBILEE TOUR SCOTLAND 2012. This also includes interest from other countries, so this tour could well see an INTERNATIONAL MASSED PIPES AND DRUMS.
